Our goal at Escolástica is not to build a company, but rather to build a family. And we want you, the emerging Indie author, to be a part of it. If you are looking for a publishing company to publish your books and give them a more professional touch, join us!

Please note that although we will read all the submitted manuscripts, our ISBN program is by invitation only. At this moment, we are only providing ISBNs to authors that will be publishing books under Escolástica Press.

Yes! We will register your ISBN under our publishing house with Bowker, providing you with the freedom to use it anywhere. We will also register your LCCN and remind you to send the copy to the Library of Congress.

1. Send us an email informing us of your interest and a summary of your book. We are currently only accepting fiction work.

2. Within 24-48 hours, you will receive a questionnaire where you can tell us more about your book, which you will send back to us with the first five chapters of your manuscript. Do not worry about the grammar—we are only focused on the story.

3. If you are approved for an ISBN, we will set up a Zoom meeting to establish our working relationship.

If you are approved to join Escolástica Press, we will discuss pricing, as well as the number of ISBNs that you need, during our meeting. If this is your first book and you are short on money, don’t worry—we will work out a price that suits your budget.

Our team is fluent in both English and Spanish. We have grown up across various cities, including New York, Arizona, California, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

We aren’t joking when we say that we want you to be a part of our family. Our goal is to be with you throughout the entire publishing process. Because even though you are self-publishing, it does not mean you are alone. We are here to help you in any way we can, whether that means reviewing your book cover, going over your beta reader feedback with you, or analyzing a dialogue you are not sure about. Whatever it is, we are here to help!

You will be added to the authors section of our website, where we will display your published work. We will make sure your book is added to Goodreads, as well as The Story Graph as soon as you have your ISBN. If needed, we can also help you with purchasing your author domain. We also hope to start offering translation services for Spanish books in 2024, making your work accessible to a wider audience.
